Become a certified Chef Expert
Participate in our certification programs and become a certified expert on Chef products. Choose among two tracks that suit your skillset and interest—Become an ‘Associate Chef’ and/or an ‘Executive Chef’ specialist.
Associate Chef Certification
Become an Associate Chef by taking a comprehensive multiple-choice exam and performing practical tasks in the LearnChef Lab.
Prerequisites: Candidates should have operational experience with Chef. (Cookbooks and InSpec).
Passing Criteria and Program Details:
- A minimum of 75% in the multiple choice-based examination
- Successful completion of tasks in the LearnChef Lab
- Estimated time to complete the certification: 3 hours
- Time to complete the course after enrollment: 6 months
- Number of attempts: 3
Certification: You will be awarded a "Chef Certified Associate Engineer" certificate.
Executive Chef Certification
Validate your expertise in architecting, implementing at-scale and troubleshooting Chef by taking a mentor-led certification program.
Prerequisites: Candidates must have deep and extensive experience with Chef in terms of architecting, operations writing cookbooks, pipelines, and using InSpec.
Passing Criteria and Program Details:
- You will partner with a senior Chef consultant who will serve as your mentor and proctor
- Successful completion of all tasks proctored by mentor
- Estimated time to complete the certification: 40 hours
- Time to complete the course after enrollment: 6 months
- Number of attempts: 3
Certification: You will be awarded a "Chef Certified Architect" certificate.
