As containers continue to take over modern application architectures, it’s hard to cut through the noise and figure out what are the emerging best practices. That’s why Chef is excited to be participating in Container World 2017 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, February 21-23.
On Tuesday, February 21st, be sure to join us for a hands on workshop covering our newest open source project, Habitat, for application automation. Habitat simplifies container management by packaging applications in a compact, atomic, and easily auditable format that makes it easier to deploy your application on various container runtimes. Once your applications are deployed, the Habitat supervisor simplifies the complexities of running in production environments with built-in abstractions for functions typically handled by external tooling, such as dynamic scaling and rolling updates.
Join us for this workshop to learn how Habitat can help you overcome these obstacles as you look to implement container based solutions. Attendees will learn about Habitat’s container build system, how to package an application with Habitat, and how to run this packaged application leveraging Habitat’s service supervisor.
Chef will also be available in the expo hall, booth 307, both Wednesday, February 22nd and Thursday, February 223rd. Stop by to learn more about Chef’s solutions for Continuous Automation, and how Chef fits in the container ecosystem.
