Surge and Free Chef Training

Our friends at OmniTI are hosting the fourth annual Surge: a conference dedicated to scalability and performance that brings together the best and brightest in Web Operations. The conference is being held September 12-13 in the National Harbor waterfront district just outside of Washington, DC.

We’ve teamed up with the Surge team to make this year’s conference even more awesome. In addition to sponsoring the conference, we’ve also arranged some FREE Chef training for Surge attendees.

Join us on Monday and Tuesday, September 9 and 10 for a two-day Chef Fundamentals Workshop. This class is being offered free of charge (while space remains) to anyone attending Surge.

Here’s your agenda for a week of awesome in the nation’s capital:

  • Monday & Tuesday – Learn about infrastructure automation with Chef.
  • Wednesday – Tour Washington, D.C.
  • Thursday & Friday – Discuss performance and scalability with your peers.

On a personal note, I’ve attended all three previous Surge conferences and find the energy, enthusiasm, community, and content to be exceptional. I had the opportunity to record a number of Food Fight Show episodes during last year’s Surge, too. These will give you some insight into the talks from last year.

Early bird pricing for Surge ends on Friday and the Chef training is filling up quickly. Register for Surge today!

I look forward to seeing you at Surge!
