Welcome to Chef 0.7.16, the “Bryan McLellan is looking out for you” release! 0.7.16 contains only two bug fixes, and both involve chef inappropriately setting file permissions in some cases. Bryan is this releases MVP, for making sure that we got the bug-fix release out the door.

Fabio Akita (aka AkitaOnRails) just posted his interview with Adam and Jesse, Opscode’s CTO and CEO. Fabio is a long-time member of the Brazilian Rails community and is the author of the first Rails book in the Portuguese language. He is also the organizer of the Rails Summit Latin America.

Last night one of our favorite Chefs Kamal Fariz Mahyuddin (@kamal on twitter) achieved another first, an entire app server configured in a single tweet. This awesomeness was worth memorializing here. Nice work Kamal!
