I have been in IT operations for over 30 years and I have seen a lot of good and bad ideas come and go.  I have been following the Devops movement for over a year now and I have kept my eyes very focused to the Devops radar.

The company has raised $11m in a series B funding round from Battery Ventures and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.

Chef Fundamentals (3 Days) Chef Fundamentals is a three-day comprehensive class covering the basic architecture of Chef and all of the underlying components. We will be covering installation basics of Chef Client and Chef Solo. Chef 0.9.6 Released Hot on the heels of 0.9.4, I’m happy to announce the release of Chef 0.9.6. Chef 0.9.6 fixes some bugs we introduced when we cleaned up our file loading code in 0.9.2, which caused `shef` to crash on start.

We are pleased to announce that the updated Debian/Ubuntu packages of Chef 0.9 have been posted to the new apt.opscode.com repository! Please be aware of the following changes in the packaging if you’re using the older 0.7 packages from Ubuntu 9.10/10.04 or the old apt.opscode.com. chef-server-slices is deprecated, and split into chef-server-api and chef-server-webui.
