Last week the Chef Community hosted two summits in the US. Monday and Tuesday in Seattle, Thursday and Friday in New York. These Summits both included a day of open space discussions with topics proposed and selected by the participants and a day of hacking on various projects.

We are excited to announce a new integration between Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Chef. For the ever increasing number of Chef customers using GCP, these GCP specific cookbooks are consistent, cohesive and comprehensive. They enable Chef practitioners to quickly, declare and request resources from GCP.
