Ohai chefs, Today we have released Chef Client 12.0.1 with some minor backwards compatibility fixes to make it easier to migrate from Chef Client 11. 12.0.0 release was done at an inconvenient time and caused unexpected upgrade errors for some of our users.

Announcing Chef Client for IBM AIX
Today I’m very pleased to announce the availability of Chef Client 12.0 for IBM AIX 6.1 and 7.1. It is freely available from our downloads page and can be used with any version of the Chef Server up to and including Chef Server 12.

Push Jobs Server 1.1.6 Release
Ohai everyone, We have released push-jobs-server 1.1.6 to fix an issue in which unsigned packages for push-jobs-server 1.1.5 caused its installation to fail. This is a point release because we also had to upgrade a test dependency on mixlib-shellout 1.6.0. There are no other changes between push-jobs-server 1.1.5 and 1.1.6.
Adopt a Cookbook
At one point, you had this great idea for a cookbook. You built it, and you shared it with everyone on the Supermarket. You rock! But at some point later on maintaining that cookbook became something that you couldn’t do any more.
Postmortem: ohai & mixlib-shellout gem release issues
Hey chefs, On 2014/12/01 we have released a few gems in order to prepare for upcoming Chef Client 12.0.0 release. During these releases we’ve caused 2 distruptions: 1. `ohai 7.6.0` release broke gem installation of `chef 11.16.4` when using an older version of `rubygems`. 2. Yanking `mixlib-shellout 1.6.0` release from `rubygems.
