Chef 0.9 EOL
As of June 11, 2012, we are officially ending support for the 0.9 series of Chef and we are encouraging all Chef 0.9 users to upgrade to Chef 0.10. Chef 0.10.0 was released on May 2, 2011. At the time, we planned to support Chef 0.9 for an additional three to six months.

Opscode at the OpenStack Design Summit & Conference

May Seattle Erlounge
Opscode and Boundary are combining forces to host the May Seattle Erlounge. The meeting will be hosted at Opscode HQ located on Western Avenue on 5/3/2012. Festivities will begin at 7:00 PM. Post-meeting drinks, courtesy of Boundary, will follow at a nearby establishment.
Cookbook Releases
A few weeks ago, we migrated the opscode/cookbooks repository to separate repositories per-cookbook in a new organization on GitHub. We have already received more than 50 pull requests! Thank you for your contributions and participation. You are all awesome. While we haven’t gotten through all the old repository’s pull requests; we’re still making progress there.
